4 men accused of raping 2 women
MANILA, Philippines - Two women accused four men of raping them during a drinking session in Parañaque City Friday, police said yesterday.
Police officers said they have arrested construction workers Norie Peruda, 30, and Marvine Mendiola, 20, while brothers Ramil and Ryan Pilula are at large.
Chief Superintendent Benito Estipona, Southern Police District (SPD) director, said the alleged victims are aged 20 and 17.
“One of the suspects is the boyfriend of the 20-year-old, that’s why she joined the drinking session,” said Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran, Parañaque police chief.
According to Beltran, the 20-year-old woman invited the 17-year-old to the venue in BF Homes, Parañaque on the night of Nov. 29. The drinking spree lasted until the wee hours of Nov. 30.
“When the victims got too drunk, (the) suspects took turns in raping (them),” police said.
The victims told their parents what happened on Nov. 30 before filing a complaint against the four men.
Beltran said during the initial investigation, police discovered that the 17-year-old was reported missing and the 20-year-old had just met her.
Police arrested Peruda and Mendiola in their houses, while a manhunt was launched for the Pilulas.
