MANILA, Philippines - A student accused two of her classmates and eight others of kidnapping her in Cavite Thursday.

Krizell Joy Consolacion said she escaped the next day and reported to the Manila Police District’s General Assignment and Investigation Section (MPD-GAIS).

Consolacion, a student at the Asian Institute of Computer Studies, said she was walking near a bank in GMA, Cavite Thursday morning when three men wearing bonnets dragged her into a parked L-300 van and covered her nose with a handkerchief. The cloth contained a drug that caused her to lose consciousness.

She said she woke up inside a dimly lit room and saw nine men and a woman gathered outside. She said she allegedly recognized one of the men as her classmate, Joveth Viron.

Consolacion said she groped for her bag, took her cell phone and tried to text another classmate. One of the men saw her and alerted the others, who started shouting and cursing at her. She said she recognized the woman as Mary Joy de Luna, another classmate, who reportedly said they were going to kill her.

The complainant said one of the men punched her in the stomach, causing her to lose consciousness. It was already dark when she woke up.

Consolacion said she pried open a small hole in the room and escaped, but was surprised to see the Manila Cathedral as she was fleeing. She went to the Intramuros police precinct, whose police officers turned her over to the MPD-GAIS on United Nations Avenue.

Armed with sketches of Viron and De Luna, MPD-GAIS police officers, headed by Chief Inspector Ramon Meneses, went to Cavite to arrest Consolacion’s two classmates.

Consolacion said she does not know why her classmates would want her dead.
