MANILA, Philippines - Four males were arrested for allegedly violating a city ordinance against “illegal barking” near a mall in Fairview, Quezon City Sunday night.
Superintendent Virgilio Fabian, commander of the Quezon City Police District Station 5, said William Habig, 38; Rhodel John del Rosario, 18; and two 17-year-old boys were rounded up along Regalado Avenue in front of a mall in Barangay Lagro.
He said they were charged for violating City Ordinance 3780, which prohibits illegal barkers – people who repeatedly announce a public utility vehicle’s destination to attract passengers – at terminals of public utility vehicles or PUVs.
