Burglars kill woman in Caloocan

Pete Laude - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A 57-year-old woman was found dead in her rented room in Camarin, Caloocan City Saturday night.

Police Officer 2 Alcee Jomaquio said Elena Pamor had been stabbed in the neck and torso and her room was in disarray when a relative, Danilo Balancio, 47, discovered her body at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Balancio told police he had gone to visit Pamor because he was worried when he failed to see her for three days.

Jumaquio said the victim’s room was in disarray and her money and jewelry missing. He added that a window in her room had been destroyed.

The Northern Police District Scene of the Crime Operatives processed the crime scene for latent prints of the burglars. Senior Superintendent Rimas Calixto, city police chief, directed his men to hunt down and arrest the burglars.
