MANILA, Philippines - An Adamson University student was stabbed by a group of males inside the school campus in Manila Wednesday afternoon.
Superintendent Reynaldo Tumalad, chief of the Manila Police District (MPD) Station 5, identified the victim as Kevin Roi Castro, 21, an information technology student and his alleged attackers as John Francis Celones, alias Juris; Mark Raven Sallo, 18; Don Lawrence Hapal; and Jem Alcid.
Tumalad said Castro was waiting for a professor when the suspects arrived at around 10:48 a.m. on Oct. 10 and began provoking him. Castro tried to avoid the suspects, but the group continued to provoke him until Celones, armed with a knife, allegedly started stabbing him.
He suffered two stab wounds in the left arm and was brought to the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pasay City. He was discharged the next day.
The suspects, who face attempted homicide charges, are at large. Adamson University refused to comment on the incident.
