MANILA, Philippines - A woman had her 18-year-old son arrested after she caught him raping his elder sister in their house in Las Piñas City Thursday.
City police chief Senior Superintendent Romulo Saputila said it was about 5 a.m. on Thursday when the woman woke up to a noise in her 21-year-old daughter’s room. When she checked on her daughter, she caught her son raping his sister. She called the police.
The teenager kicked and punched the policemen who came to arrest him until they managed to subdue and handcuff him. The suspect was charged with two counts of incestuous rape and direct assault for abusing his sister twice, on Sept. 11 and Oct. 11.
Chief Superintendent Benito Estipona, director of the Southern Police District, said the victim did not tell anyone about the first rape because her brother threatened to kill her.
The suspect, who is detained at the city police headquarters, will undergo a drug test as requested by his mother.
