Guard gunned down in Tondo

MANILA, Philippines - A security guard was gunned down by two men believed to be members of “Agaw Armas” gang in Tondo, Manila at dawn yesterday.

Jhon Golondrina, 30, of St. Stephen Security Agency, succumbed to two gunshot wounds.

Police Officer 3 Amelito Lopez said Golondrina was manning his post at the Uni-Glass sewing machine company at the corner of Jose Abad Santos and Tayuman street at 3 a.m. when two men riding on motorcycle arrived.

The suspects poked their guns at the victim as they tried to grab his service firearm.

When the victim resisted, one of the suspects shot him twice.
