MANILA, Philippines - A fire broke out at the office of Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr. at the fifth floor of the Senate building in Pasay City yesterday morning.
Revilla thanked the members of the Office of the Sergeant-At-Arms (OSAA) and the Senate Engineering Office for their speedy response to the fire.
“Because of their speedy action, the fire was immediately put out just minutes after it was detected, minimizing the damage it could have caused,” he said.
“Fortunately, only the refrigerator and a nearby wall were damaged in the incident,” the senator said. Initial reports said a faulty electrical wiring sparked the blaze.
