MANILA, Philippines - An Australian business executive was found dead yesterday in a condominium unit in Manila he shared with his wife.
Robert Archer, 47, CEO of Advanced Sharp Technologies (Australia), allegedly shot himself in the right temple with a Glock pistol, according to Manila Police District homicide section chief Senior Inspector Joselito de Ocampo.
Police Officer 3 Rodel Benitez said the victim was found dead by his wife, Anabelle, at around 3:50 a.m. in their unit at the Baywatch Tower.
She told investigators that her husband had tried to commit suicide in the past due to his brain tumor.
Police said a suicide note – apparently written by Archer – was seen in the unit, addressed to his wife and their relatives in Australia.
