Helper undergoes lie detector test over missing baby
MANILA, Philippines - A helper of the woman who said she lost her infant in a hospital was made to undergo a lie detector test yesterday.
Quezon City Police District director Chief Superintendent Mario dela Vega said the helper, who was with complainant Maria Cecilia delos Santos during the reported abduction, was brought to Camp Crame for the procedure.
“The polygraph test is just part of our investigation for us to know who is telling the truth,” he said, but clarified that the helper is not considered a suspect at the moment.
Dela Vega said three days after the alleged kidnapping at the Sta. Teresita General Hospital, the mother still had not filed any complaint before the police.
Delos Santos claimed that her newborn baby boy was taken by a woman who had posed as a doctor at the hospital on Tuesday.
