Robbery eyed in slay of De Lima's aide
MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) eyed robbery as the possible motive behind the killing of an aide of Justice Secretary Leila de Lima who was found dead in San Ildefonso, Bulacan last May.
Sources at the NBI said yesterday that the mobile phone and service firearm of Alister Quintos, 32, an organic member of the Department of Justice (DOJ)’s Intelligence Service Operations Group, were missing.
At least six suspects are being linked to the killing of Quintos but the NBI refused to identify them pending their arrest.
Quintos was found dead in a roadside in Barangay Garlang, San Ildefonso, Bulacan on May 10. He bore a gunshot wound in the body.
He was supposed to go home to Antipolo City when he was killed.
