Freddie Aguilar loses $12,000 in bedroom vault

 Manila, Philippines - Musician Freddie Aguilar lost $12,000 taken from a vault inside his house in Quezon City.

Superintendent Virglio Fabian, commander of Quezon City Police District Station 5, said the money was in a vault in the master’s bedroom of Aguilar’s house in Barangay North Fairview.

Aguilar last saw the money in the vault on Aug. 20. He found the money was missing at around 3 p.m. Sunday.

Fabian noted that only the money was taken from the house. “Aguilar’s handgun that was placed near the vault was not even touched,” he said.

Fabian said there were no signs of forced entry into the house and the vault’s combination lock and keyhole is intact.

“Aguilar believes it was an inside job... He believes he knows who is responsible but would not tell police,” Fabian said.
