Boy shot at neighbor's wake

Manila, Philippines -  Caloocan City police officers are searching for a neighborhood toughie for reportedly shooting a 15-year-old boy at a neighbor’s wake early morning yesterday.

Jethro Fabian, a resident of Bagong Barrio, was rushed for treatment of gunshot wounds in the body to the Manila Central University Hospital at around 4 a.m.

Senior Police Officer 1 Marlon Adriano said Fabian and his friends were playing a gambling game at around 3:16 a.m. at the wake of a neighbor on Inton street in Bagong Barrio when a drunk man identified only as “Tiyanak,” arrived at the wake carrying an improvised shotgun.

The suspect shoved Fabian and his friends as he passed by and threatened to shoot the boys with his shotgun. The boys put up a fight, prompting the man to shoot at them. He fled on foot after hitting Fabian.
