2 nabbed for selling regulated drugs
MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were arrested for allegedly selling regulated medicine with a street value of around P1.1 million in Barangay BF Homes in Parañaque City Tuesday night, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said yesterday.
Joel Ng, 48, and Marylou Gumban, 36, were put under arrest after they sold 400 ampules of Nalbin (nalbuphine, a painkiller); 6,400 tablets of Valium (diazepam, a sedative); and 400 ampules of Dormicum (midazolam, another sedative) to an undercover agent.
PDEA director general Jose Gutierrez Jr. said Nalbin is not locally available and may have been imported or smuggled into the country.
