- Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Korean man landed in jail for shoplifting sardines worth P423 from a supermarket in Manila yesterday.

Kevin Lee, 49, temporarily billeted at a condominium unit in Pasay City, was arrested by security guards Jan Guzman and Dominador Garcia shortly after he pocketed a bottle of Dellong fin tuna sardines.

Lee was turned over to the police.

Police Officer 3 Marlon Anoñuevo said the Korean had been arrested twice for the same offense.

The first time, he was released after paying for the stolen item. On the second incident, he was charged but managed to go out on bail.

This time, however, Lee was detained at the Manila Police District jail.
