- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Japanese government turned over yesterday a new 10-classroom school building for the Maria Clara High School (MCHS) in Caloocan City.

Ambassador Toshinao Urabe gave the keys to Education Secretary Armin Luistro and Mayor Enrico Echiverri.

Urabe said the new building was constructed under the Japan Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects. Echiverri thanked Urabe and the Japanese government in behalf of the city.

The MCHS started in June 2000 as an annex of the Caloocan High School, the biggest in the city. – Jerry Botial, Rainier Allan Ronda
