MANILA, Philippines - A 10-month-old baby – reported missing when a fire broke out at his home in Sampaloc, Manila Thursday – was found burned beyond recognition in the ruins of his house yesterday morning.
John Benedict Bohol, earlier identified as Benedict Reinera, was found at 9 a.m. yesterday by arson investigators. His parents reported him missing but investigators said he was apparently left on a hammock at the second floor of their house when the fire broke out.

At least 50 houses were destroyed in the fire. Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim and Councilor Bimbo Quintos went to the area yesterday and distributed relief goods and financial assistance to the 76 families whose homes were razed by the fire.
