Sacked cop's car used as 'colorum' FX?
Manila, Philippines - The vehicle driven by the Senior Police Officer 2 Ricardo Pascua, the Quezon City policeman who was sacked Tuesday for blocking President Aquino’s convoy along Commonwealth Avenue, is reportedly being used as a “colorum” or unregistered FX taxi.
Superintendent Ferdinand Villanueva, head of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Investigation and Detective Management Division, said they have heard of the reports, “but at the time the incident happened, there was no signage attached to the vehicle or any passenger onboard it to indicate it was being used as a public utility vehicle.”
Villanueva said someone has to come forward to say that the Mitsubishi Adventure, with license plates ZJK-679, was actually being used in “colorum” operations.
Pascua has claimed that a friend of his is the actual owner of the vehicle.
Pascua was charged before the Quezon City prosecutor’s office for driving without a license, according to QCPD director Chief Superintendent Mario dela Vega.
The QCPD said Pascua did not have a driver’s license when he was accosted Tuesday.
