NBI agent shoots neighbor in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines -  A fingerprint examiner of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) was arrested for shooting his neighbor in the stomach after a fistfight in Barangay Manggahan, Pasig City Saturday night.

Delbi Omanio, 47, did not resist arrest when cornered by Pasig police officers. He surrendered his .38 caliber revolver.

The victim, Anselmo Moredo, 38, was declared out of danger at the Rizal Medical Center.

Superintendent Alfredo Calamaan, Pasig police officer-in-charge ordered the filing of appropriate charges against Omanio, who is being held at the city police detention center.
