Man rapes teen sister in Valenzuela

Manila, Philippines -  A 29-year-old man was arrested yesterday after his 15-year-old sister reported that he entered her bedroom and raped her before dawn Tuesday.

Senior Police Officer 1 Lorena Hernandez, officer-in-charge of the Valenzuela police women’s and children’s concerns desk, said the man faces charges of incest rape before the city prosecutor’s office.

The victim said she was roused from sleep and found her brother on top of her. She said she pleaded with him to stop but he prevailed.

The next morning, she invited a friend to go to church and told her about the rape. Accompanied by her friend, the victim proceeded to the police to report the incident.

The victim told police her brother often used to touch her private parts whenever he was drunk. She said she did not tell her parents out of shame and because her brother threatened to harm her if she did.
