Drug ring behind Manila cop's slay

MANILA, Philippines - A criminal syndicate involved in drug trafficking and video karera in Tondo was behind the killing of a member of the Manila Police District recently.

Police said at least seven persons, including a woman, were linked to the killing of SPO2 Teofilo Panfilo and his alleged lover Jennifer Clemente, 40, alias “Bangenge.”

Authorities requested The STAR to withhold information about the suspects pending investigation. Panlilio and Clemente were last seen on the night of June 23 at the MPD headquarters before they disappeared.
