Jeepney driver stabs 2 after losing papers
MANILA, Philippines - A jeepney driver stabbed two of his fellow drivers after losing his clutch bag, which reportedly contained important papers, in Sta. Cruz, Manila at past midnight yesterday.
Police Officer 2 Glenzor Vallejo said a certain “Edwin,” who drives a jeepney plying the Baclaran-Blumentritt route, killed Christopher Yahut, 36; and wounded George Quejada, 53, who were sleeping in a jeepney parked at the corner of Aurora Boulevard and Cavite street.
Prior to the attack, the victims had helped the suspect look for his missing bag. Not finding the bag at the jeepney terminal, the suspect left in haste but returned drunk and started stabbing the sleeping victims.
The suspect boarded his own jeepney (PXB-482) and escaped.
