Trump sons visit Manila hospital
Manila, Philippines - The sons of New York businessman Donald Trump visited the Sta. Ana Hospital in Manila Wednesday.
As officials of Operation Smile International, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump visited the hospital for the benefit of Operation Smile Philippines (OSP) and pledged to provide a substantial amount of money to fund the operation of children with cleft palate. They also lauded the efforts of Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim to provide free medical services for the poor, according to a statement released by the Manila City Hall.
“We thank the mayor for allowing this to happen,” Donald Jr. said, referring to Lim allotting a space in the hospital for the use of the OSP, where cleft palate patients are given special attention, including doctors to conduct the operation, free of charge.
He also praised the hospital’s doctors, all under director Dr. Mario Lato, for operating on the children without expecting anything in return.
Lim presented Donald Jr. with a symbolic key to the city. “May you use this key to open the hearts of American people toward a better relationship between our countries,” he said.
