Drunk cop punches guard at QC bar

MANILA, Philippines - An intoxicated Special Action Force policeman was arrested before dawn yesterday for allegedly punching a security guard who did not let him into a bar because he violated the dress code.

Police Officer 2 Leonardo Sumbrito, 36, allegedly went to the Padi’s Point bar in Cubao, Quezon City at around 3 a.m., clad in a tank top, shorts and slippers.

When he insisted on going into the bar, security guard George Quinto stopped him. This led to an argument. He alleged punched Quinto in the face until his companions pacified him.

Police officers from the Quezon City Police District Station 7 took Sumbrito into custody.
