Pastor turns girl, 17, into sex slave
MANILA, Philippines - A pastor was arrested Monday by agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) for allegedly making a 17-year-old girl his sex slave for months at his house in Mandaluyong City.
Antonio Llamado, 45, allegedly pastor of the Lord of the Nations religious group, did not resist arrest when CIDG police officers came to his house on Elino street in Barangay Vergara at around 3 p.m. Monday. He denied the allegation against him.
His alleged victim, who is from Teresa, Rizal, vowed to pursue the case against Llamado “to make him suffer and pay” for what he had done to her.
“He did not only destroyed my name but also that of my family and my future,” she said.
According to Superintendent Emma Libunao of the CIDG’s women and children protection division, Llamado invited the girl in August 2011 to join their group.
Llamado offered to adopt the girl and promised her parents that he would send her to school, Libunao said.
For nearly 10 months, the pastor allegedly raped the girl repeatedly whenever his wife was not in the house, according to Libunao.
The girl’s ordeal ended when her aunt rescued her on June 11 at a mall along Shaw Boulevard, where the group holds their worship services.
The aunt reported the abuse to CIDG chief Director Samuel Pagdilao, who dispatched Libunao to arrest Llamado.
Pagdilao ordered Llamado, who is being held at the CIDG detention center, charged with violating Republic Act 8353 (the anti-rape law) in relation to RA 7610 (the anti-child abuse law).
Meanwhile, an official of the Lord of the Nations religious group told ABS-CBN that Llamado is not one of their ordained pastors.
Pastor Mary Jane Ching, the group’s administrator, said Llamado is only a volunteer worker for the group’s local church in Mandaluyong, though he was a “former pastor of another group” and transferred to their group a year ago.
She said Llamado was recommended for pastoral work, but has not been ordained pastor, after he became a regular member.
