Man dead, girl hurt in drive-by shooting

MANILA, Philippines - Two motorcycle-riding men shot dead a jobless man and wounded a girl in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City Friday.

Amid Tabotabo, 39, was about to ride his motorcycle along Kanlaon street when he was shot by the two gunmen, who were wearing bonnets and caps, at around 4 p.m. Tabotabo died on the spot from gunshot wounds in the head and body, Police Officer 1 Christopher Luistro said yesterday.

A stray bullet hit Mary Ann Wuyunan, 17, in the leg. She is confined at the East Avenue Medical Center.

Investigators, led by Inspector Jose Bonifacio, recovered two shells for a .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.
