Rape suspect nabbed in Marikina drug bust

MANILA, Philippines - A man who was arrested in a drug bust in Marikina City yesterday turned out to be a robber who had raped a businesswoman’s 16-year-old daughter last Tuesday.

Reynaldo Santos, alias “Diablo,” was identified by the girl as the one who raped her during a robbery at her house in Barangay Concepcion Dos.

Another victim identified Santos as the one who robbed their house in Xavierville, Quezon City.

Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Superintendent Miguel Laurel called on other robbery victims in Marikina City, including those who were raped, to file charges against Santos.

Laurel said Santos, who is detained at the Marikina City police station, was arrested after handing over two sachets of shabu worth P1,200 to a police poseur-buyer.
