Jeep kills boy, 1, running after his ball

MANILA, Philippines - A one-year-old boy running after his ball died when he was hit by a jeep in Quezon City Tuesday night. Traffic investigator PO3 Renato Sunga said Andrew Rizaba’s head was ran over by the jeep with license plate NXK-151.

The boy was declared dead on arrival at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center.

Sunga said the accident occurred in Loyola Heights at 9 p.m.

Police arrested the jeep driver identified as Manuel Marquez, 44, a resident of Antipolo City.

Marquez said he was parking his jeep in the compound when he accidentally ran over the victim.
