Man wins lotto pot with wedding date

- Perseus Echeminada -

MANILA, Philippines - A 30-year-old clerk, separated from his wife, won P8 million in the May 14 draw of the 6/49 Super Lotto with a number combination taken from the dates of his wedding and the first day he courted his ex-wife, a Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) official said yesterday.

PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas said the winning combination, 07-11-18-26-32-38, was maintained by the clerk, who has one child and had been separated from his wife two years ago.

The winner said he was not aware he hit the jackpot until he saw the results in a lotto outlet in Batangas City. Rojas said the winner plans to buy a house and lot and invest in small business.
