2 dead in QC blaze

MANILA, Philippines - Two people were killed and at least 120 families were left homeless when a fire struck a residential area and the UP Bliss condominium in Barangay San Vicente, Quezon City yesterday.

A spark from an electric line in the house of Claudio Delda reportedly caused the blaze, which spread to 40 houses and condominium units before it was put out at around 1:45 p.m.

According to initial reports, an old woman and a boy were killed in the fire, which reached Task Force Alpha.
