3 nabbed for foiled bus heist

MANILA, Philippines - Three ex-convicts were arrested after a foiled bus robbery in Parañaque City Sunday night.

Fernando Santos, 34; Leo Rivera, 34; and Alvin Padilla, 37, were caught after police officers saw them allegedly robbing the passengers of a Fairview-bound bus in front of the Baclaran Church.

Chief Inspector Fergen Torred said they recovered several knives from the suspects, who were tagged in bus heists in Parañaque, Pasay, Makati and Mandaluyong.
