CIDG raids store over counterfeit sharpeners, erasers

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) recently raided a retail outlet in Binondo, Manila found engaged in the sale of pencil sharpeners and erasers that illegally bear the mark Exam Grade, a registered trademark of Schwan-Stabilo.

The raid was conducted by CIDG agents on the basis of search warrants issued by the Makati City Regional Trial Court Branch 149.

Schwan-Stabilo’s legal representative, Edmund Baranda of Taw & Associates, warns the public to be wary of counterfeit goods especially now that parents will soon buy school supplies in time for the start of classes in June.
