Suspected drug pusher slain in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines - An alleged drug pusher was shot dead in Malabon City Saturday night.

Tomy Thompson, 30, a resident of Barangay Tonsuya, who was released on bail on April 18 for a drug offense, was shot dead at around 8:35 p.m.

Senior Police Officer 1 Redentor Mantala said Thompson was in a tricycle when it was flagged down by at least four men at Catmon Bridge.

Witnesses told police that Thompson was dragged out of the tricycle and was shot at close range by his attackers. He died from eight gunshot wounds in the head and body. Police recovered from the crime scene eight shells and four slugs for a .45 caliber pistol.
