PNP has new spokesman

MANILA, Philippines - A veteran intelligence officer will be the next spokesman of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

PNP chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome yesterday confirmed the appointment of Senior Superintendent Generoso Cerbo Jr. as PNP spokesman, replacing Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., who will be promoted as chief of the Police Community Relations Group (PCRG).

Cerbo will officially assume the PNP post next week.
