Traffic rerouted for Aliwan Fiesta

MANILA, Philippines - A section of Roxas Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic and traffic will be rerouted for a parade that will be the highlight of this year’s Aliwan Fiesta tomorrow, the Manila Police District’s Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) said yesterday.

Starting at 1 p.m., the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, from P. Burgos to P. Ocampo streets, will be closed.

All motorists coming from the Jones, McArthur and Quezon bridges planning to go through the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard must turn at Round Table (Palacio) straight to Ma. Orosa, right at T.M. Kalaw, left at M.H. Del Pilar, left on Quirino Avenue, right on Mabini, or use Taft Avenue.

All motorists coming from northern part of Manila intending to use the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard from P. Burgos to P. Ocampo streets must turn left at P. Burgos, right Ma. Orosa, right T. M. Kalaw, left at M. H. Del Pilar, left at Pres. Quirino, right at Mabini, or use Taft Avenue.

All motorists coming from adjacent roads from P. Burgos, T. M. Kalaw, United Nations Avenue, Pedro Gil, Quirino Avenue and P. Ocampo must take Taft Avenue or M. H. Del Pilar.

All buses coming from the Park N Ride facility in Lawton going to Cavite and Las Piñas must use Taft Avenue rather than Roxas Boulevard.
