Woman jumps to death in Las Piñas mall

MANILA, Philippines - An unidentified woman jumped from the third floor of a mall in Las Piñas yesterday afternoon.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Romulo Sapitula said at around 4 p.m., the woman, reportedly aged 60, climbed over the railing and tried to grab a girl playing nearby just before she jumped.

She landed on the ground floor. He said mall guards and paramedics brought the woman to the Las Piñas Medical Center, where she was declared dead upon arrival.

The woman was wearing a brown shirt and blue jogging pants, and bore a “tribal” tattoo on her right arm, Sapitula said.
