Teen wounded in frat war
MANILA, Philippines - A teenager was shot and injured following a clash between warring fraternities in Marikina City yesterday.
The victim, identified as Clinton Ramos, 15, of Palay St., Barangay Tumana, was taken to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Police said the victim is a member of the Pare Koy (PRK) fraternity based in Barangay Tumana.
His companions told police that members of the PRK clashed with other fraternities like the Original Tumana Gangster (OTG), Siete Kuatro, and Original Black Master (OBM) at 2:30 a.m.
The melee started when members of the gangs engaged in a heated argument over turf.
At the height of the argument, fraternity members grabbed stones and broken bottles and hurled them at their rivals.
Clinton was found sprawled and bloodied on the ground after a gunshot rang out.
