Bomb explodes in Malabon; 1 killed, 3 hurt

MANILA, Philippines - A man was killed while three others were seriously hurt following a blast caused by an improvised explosive device  thrown at them by unidentified men riding a motorcycle in Malabon City Monday night.

Rodrigo Mejica died of shrapnel wounds in various parts of the body, while those injured were Ric Sonja, Kathy Santos and a 16-year-old girl.

Police have yet to establish a motive for the incident.
