2 nabbed for robbing driver of TV host's taxi

MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were arrested after robbing the driver of a taxi owned by television host Luis Manzano along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Muntinlupa City Sunday afternoon. Joel Gines and Jonalyn Guiao reportedly boarded the LBR taxi (TYU-987) at Biñan, Laguna and asked cabbie Alberto Canap to bring them to a hospital in Alabang at around 3:30 p.m.

Upon reaching SLEX’s Kilometer 23, the two tried to rob Cainap who resisted. The taxi collided with a passing truck, and the commotion caught the attention of members of the Highway Patrol Group, who arrested the two suspects.
