Man demands sex, money from student

-

MANILA, Philippines - A man was arrested in an entrapment Friday for allegedly demanding P1,000 and sex twice a week from a female University of the Philippines student so he wouldn’t release their sex video.

Mark Anthony Patino, 25, was subjected to inquest proceedings yesterday for robbery-extortion, Police Officer 2 Andrew Hega said.

Patino was caught red-handed receiving the P1,000 payment from the 19-year-old complainant during an entrapment set up by operatives of the Quezon City Police District-Station 10 at past 3 p.m. outside a mall.

Hega, however, said they could not charge the suspect for violating the anti-voyeurism law since police found no sex video on his cell phone. Patino told police there really was no sex video and he only wanted to see the woman again.

The complainant, an engineering student, got to know the suspect through the social networking site Facebook last month. They met in person on Feb. 1 and had sex.

The two did not meet again but the suspect allegedly told the woman he was able to take a video of their time together through his cell phone’s camera.

He reportedly threatened to upload the video on the Internet if she did not pay him P1,000 and have sex with him every Monday and Thursday. – Reinir Padua
