Man found dead, seated on toilet

MANILA, Philippines - A man was found dead on the toilet seat in his house in Caloocan City yesterday.

Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO) team leader Chief Inspector Benigno Asilar Jr. said Henry Fabon, 54, of Miramonte Park West, Barangay 180 in North Caloocan, was found in this position by a friend, Jesus Parungao.

Asilar said they have yet to determine if the death was a suicide or involved foul play. Initial investigation showed the victim was found with blood oozing from his belly. A blood-stained kitchen knife was found on the bathroom floor in front of him.

Parungao told police he decided to call for assistance after neighbors complained of a foul stench from Fabon’s house.

Police ruled out robbery as a motive after finding the victim’s wallet, which contained P5,560.
