Guard falls to his death

MANILA, Philippines - A security guard, allegedly intoxicated, fell from the fourth floor of a building in Manila Wednesday night.

In a report to Police Senior Inspector Joselito de Ocampo, chief of the Manila Police District (MPD) homicide section, PO2 Jose Gumilan said Felix Begino, 34, security guard of Blue Ridge Security Agency fell from Pietra Building at 1616 Basquez street in Malate, Manila.

Initial investigation showed that Begino was with five other persons including the general manager of the security agency, Nelio Balcueva, who is his uncle, while having a drinking session at the Blue Ridge Security Agency office on the fourth floor of the building.

At around 11:30 p.m., Balcueva said he was surprised when informed that one of his companions fell.

Balcueva and several other witnesses said they did not hear any commotion before the incident.
