Mandatory physical examination sa narerekober na armas, inutos

MANILA, Philippines - Upang agad na masolusyunan ang mga krimen sangkot ang paggamit ng baril, ipinag-utos ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police Director General Nicanor A. Bartolome, sa buong hanay ng kapulisan ang mahigpit na pagsunod para sa mandatory physical examination ng lahat ng mga armas, basyo ng bala, at bala na narerekober mula sa crimes scenes.

“The purpose of this mandatory requirement is to populate the database of IBIS (integrated Ballistics Identification System) by encoding each and every piece of evidence found in the scene of a shooting incident.” sabi ni Bartolome.

Ang Integrated Ballistics Identification System (IBIS) ay may kakayahang makakuha, makapagtago, makapagkumpara, at makarekober ng milyong data entries sa isang database system na maaring makuha ng lahat ng PNP investigative units.

Madagdagan din anya ang pamamaraan ng imbestigasyon sa mga armas, slugs at cartridges na sangkot sa krimen, ayon naman kay DIDM director Police Chief Supt. Samuel B. Diciano. Binigyang halimbawa ni Diciano ang siyam na kaso ng shooting incidents sa Eastern Metro Manila ay naresolba anya sa pamamagitan ng IBIS.
