Bank employee nabbed for indiscriminate firing

MANILA, Philippines - A bank employee was arrested for reportedly indiscriminately firing his gun during an argument with a neighbor in Pasig City Saturday.

Agustin Frederick Apilado, 46, a resident of Hillcrest Drive in Barangay Oranbo, allegedly threatened Jay Wanbangco and repeatedly fired his gun into the air at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Neighbors reported the incident, and a team from the city police’s Special Response Unit rushed to the area.

The police team arrested Apilado, who surrendered his .9mm automatic pistol. He is being held at the Pasig City police station.
