- Reinir Padua -

MANILA, Philippines - A businessman lost his sport utility vehicle to armed carjackers who followed him home after his morning jog on Monday.

Pepito de Leon, 68, told police he got out of his Mitsubishi Montero (CTP-418) to open the gate of his house in Barangay Baesa, Quezon City at past 7 a.m. As he was about to return to the vehicle, two men approached him, one of them armed with a handgun.

One of the men took his keys and sat in the driver’s seat, while De Leon was forced into the back seat with the other carjacker.

He said the carjacker drove until they reached Mindanao Avenue, then headed toward Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City, where they left him.
