Man shot dead in Marikina

MANILA, Philippines - A 48-year-old man was killed in an ambush in Marikina City yesterday.

Reynaldo Cano had stepped out of the Bulldog Barber Shop at the corner of Katipunan Road and Ordonez street in Barangay Marikina Heights after having his hair cut when he was attacked at around 11:50 a.m.

A man approached Cano and shot him in the head. The victim died on the spot. His killer commandeered a tricycle and fled.

Police officers recovered two cell phones, P300, a wristwatch and several papers on Cano’s person.
