MANILA, Philippines - A public school near the border of Pasay and Parañaque cities suspended classes yesterday after a foul odor was detected in the area, an official said.
Pasay fire marshall Chief Inspector Douglas Guiab said they are “still investigating the origin of the reported chemical leak” detected near the Kalayaan National High School.
He said while no student fell ill, the odor may have emanated from an asphalt plant in Parañaque City.
