Woman killed in traffic row
MANILA, Philippines - A car sales agent was killed and her co-worker was injured when they figured in a traffic altercation on their way to the office Christmas party in Quezon City Thursday night.
Felma Cruz, 20, died on the spot from a stab wound in the neck at around 10:30 p.m. along Mindanao Avenue in Barangay Pasong Putik.
Senior Police Officer 1 Jaime Jimena said Richard Ernie, 20, was also stabbed in the neck. He was rushed to Commonwealth Hospital but was transferred to the East Avenue Medical Center.
Witnesses said the unidentified man who stabbed them drove an Isuzu Highlander, but no one was able to jot down its plate number.
Jimena said the two victims were on their way to a Christmas party along with some friends. They were in a Starex van on their way to the party.
Along the way, the Starex was hit on its right side by the Highlander driven by the unidentified man, who started hurling invectives at the occupants of the Starex. The Starex reportedly blocked the Highlander’s path, and Cruz and Ernie got out to confront the man.
A commotion ensued, during which the man stabbed the two victims in the neck before fleeing in the Highlander.
