Lim: Isko for Manila mayor in 2016

MANILA, Philippines - Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim yesterday clarified that he will still run for mayor of Manila in the 2013 elections with Vice Mayor Isko Moreno as his running mate.

Lim, however, gave assurance that he will endorse Moreno for the mayoral race in the 2016 elections, and not 2013 as earlier reported.

Ric de Guzman, Lim’s chief of staff and media bureau chief, said both Lim and Moreno will seek re-election for their third and last term in the 2013 elections.

“In 2016, Lim will endorse Moreno as mayor since his (Lim’s) term will end as mayor,” he said.
