Woman, daughter nabbed for mall theft

MANILA, Philippines - A woman and her teenage daughter were arrested at a Caloocan City mall Thursday night for allegedly stealing from a shopper.
The woman and her 14-year-old daughter yielded a cell phone owned by Maricon Gallego. The suspects’ accomplice was able to sneak out of the shopping center with another cell phone, owned by nurse Jana Galogo, 23.
Police Officer 3 Eduardo Ronquillo said the suspects are “professional pickpockets.” He said the suspects were identified through surveillance camera videos when Gallego and Galogo sought help after losing their cell phones.
